Oxford University researchers have discovered that a combination of the three B Vitamins, 6, 9 and 12 can cut brain shrinkage linked to memory loss by up to 500%, slowing or even stopping the development of Alzheimer's.
Their two year study of 270 pensioners suffering from mild cognitive impairment (MCI), a precursor to Alzheimer's, consisted of giving half of them a dummy pill and the other half a Vitamin B tablet each day. At the end of the trial, brain scans showed that Vitamin B cut the amount of shrinkage by as much as 50% and in one extreme case, it cut it five-fold.
Their astonishing conclusions suggest that a basic cocktail of B vitamins can achieve results that have evaded pharmaceutical companies, despite billions of pounds being spent on experimental dementia drugs. It’s important to note that the amount of Vitamin B used was 300 times higher than could be obtained by simply eating Vitamin B rich foods – so supplementation with a high-dose Vitamin B formula is essential to reap its memory boosting benefits. It is even thought that high dose Vitamin B could be routinely prescribed to those with mild memory loss in as little as five years.
For those of you who do not want to wait, Woods have formulated Alza-Vite, a high strength combination of those essential B Vitamins. This brain protecting formula could have a dramatic effect in slowing down or even halting age-related memory loss.
