Researchers at the University of Arizona discovered that turmeric extract was the most effective at stopping the onset of rheumatoid arthritis as it attacks the protein which causes inflammation. Turmeric has also been found to help with the treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) as it reduces inflammation in the gut - it has also been shown to help treat liver disease and may even help to prevent Alzheimer's disease.
